Watershed Connections: A Community Conversation with the SRHWG

  • The Virginian Lodge 750 West Broadway Jackson, WY, 83001 United States (map)

Join the Snake River Headwaters Watershed Group for an evening spotlighting our collaborative watershed efforts. This free public event brings together land managers, irrigators, scientists, and community members for a shared conversation about water, stewardship, and resilience in the Snake River Headwaters.

Enjoy a screening of Iconic Rises, a short film by Frogwater Productions about the Snake River fine-spotted cutthroat trout and the community-driven effort to ensure its long-term survival.

A brief presentation and panel discussion with SRHWG Steering Committee members will offer insight into the complex challenges and inspiring opportunities shaping water management across the basin. The panel will be moderated by Snake River Fund’s Executive Director, Orion Hatch, and feature other steering committee members:

  • Clay Moorhead, fly fishing guide and member of the American Rivers’ National Board

  • Jeff VanOrden, Idaho farmer and member of the Committee of Nine

  • Leslie Steen, Wyoming State Director for Trout Unlimited

  • Simeon Caskey, Hydrologist, Grand Teton National Park

Arrive early for light appetizers and the chance to connect directly with partner organizations through tabling and conversation.

Partners Tabling:

Whether you’re a longtime water user or simply curious about the river in your backyard, this is a great chance to connect, learn, and help shape the future of our watershed.
